But It Is Cleeen?
I'm often asked how do I pick featured cars and what I think makes for a good car. Well I actually rate cars in three categories before calling them 'CLEEEN'. 1. Physical - A car needs to be physically clean. No matter what parts are chosen or what's done to the car it needs to be free of dirt, overspray and bad fitting panels.
2. Aesthetics - Whatever style you pick, the parts need to flow together. Certain wheels might look good on one car but not on another. Wheels, aero parts and paint color all play a huge role in aesthetics. Think about how it will all work together.
3. Philosophy - This is hard concept to grasp and few do. You wouldn't wear an Adidas jumpsuit with Puma shoes. And you wouldn't want to have a HKS turbo with a GReddy intercooler. The fewer brands used to complete a car, the better. Just the same you wouldn't mix VIP parts with race parts. And if you're trying to go old school, keep it all old school.
You don't have to buy parts just for the sake of buying parts. I'd rather see a car with fewer parts, but all the right parts. Rather than a car with tons of parts, but nothing flows together.
