The next time you see Travis Pastrana in a full-lock drift the dude will be in big trouble. He has dropped Subaru and the slideway antics of rally racing for Toyota and the mostly left turns of NASCAR's Nationwide Series. He's jumping in as an owner as well under the Pastrana-Waltrip Racing banner. Initial plans are for Pastrana to compete in seven NASCAR Nationwide races in 2011 and twenty more races in 2012. Another crossover racer, Danica Patrick, has been underwhelming in her limited 2010 introduction to NASCAR. It should be interesting to see how Pastrana fares and if he can lower the median age of NASCAR's viewer demographic.
