Oct. 3, 2011 (MILWAUKEE) – In anticipation of the performance automotive aftermarket industry’s biggest trade event of the year, OPTIMA® Batteries is giving auto enthusiasts a chance to win a free trip to the 2011 SEMA Show by submitting their own OPTIMA-powered stories through its new Facebook application.
The Facebook application named Wall of Power Challenge pits two extraordinary OPTIMA battery stories against each other and lets fans decide whose story is tougher. At the end of the week the story with the highest percentage of votes is crowned champion and goes onto compete with a new challenger.
“We’ve heard countless stories over the years of our batteries doing amazing things, and now we’re sharing them online with our fans in a fun and engaging way,” said Cam Douglass, director of product development and marketing for OPTIMA. “We hope that this challenge will give more people a chance to share their stories, receive recognition for their commitment to their passion and learn what makes OPTIMA the Ultimate Power Source.”
Auto enthusiasts who think their OPTIMA story has what it takes to compete are encouraged to submit their own story and photo through the site for the chance to not only be dubbed champion, but also win a full ride to this year’s SEMA Show. Entries that are received before Tuesday, October 11, 2011 will have the best chance of winning the coveted trip. But all entries will have an opportunity to be included in the online challenge.
