The Nissan Z-car has a storied racing history. From JGTC to IMSA, from S30 to Z34, many versions of the famed Z/Fairlady have earned their keep on the racetrack. Today, the effort goes from factory-backed to homegrown-spec. Nissan and the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) recently unveiled an all-new Spec Z class designed specifically for all 2003-2008 Nissan 350Zs. Spec classes are great because they keep the cost of competing reasonable enough for real-world enthusiasts to partake in the festivities. The series will roll on BFGoodrich rubber and include contingency cash from Nissan Motorsports and other participants. The Nissan Competition Parts Program will offer parts support as well. Let the green flag fall.
