Turn 14 Signs Geoff Stoneback For Formula D 2016

Fan favorite picks up important sponsor in his inaugural season with Chris Forsberg Racing.

Mar 28, 2016

Geoff Stoneback is entering just his third year drifting at the professional level in Formula DRIFT (FD) but picked up a huge endorsement recently when Turn 14 (T14) Distribution announced it would be sponsoring the Philadelphia-area driver’s program for 2016. This as Stoneback begins a partnership this year with Chris Forsberg Racing (CFR) to campaign a Nissan 370Z in FD.

The popular driver previously captured the 2014 Formula D Rookie of the Year award and in 2016 joins fellow pilot and 2011 FD champion Dai Yoshihara on Team Turn 14. Stoneback has been on a steady ascent in the point standings since he joined FD, finishing 2014 in 24th and 2015 in 21st.

In addition to FD competition, Stoneback will be taking part in drifting demos with the Street Driven Tour and Grid Life at event facilities across the United States. He will pilot the 1,000 rear-wheel-horsepower, nitrous-injected VK56-powered Z34 at 14 events over the course of the 2016 season.

The eight-race Formula D schedule commences April 8-9, 2016, with the first event held on turns 9, 10, and 11 of the Streets of Long Beach course in California. FD subsequently covers North America with stops in Georgia, Florida, New Jersey, Montreal, Washington, and Texas before concluding at the renowned House of Drift, Irwindale Speedway, in California in October.
