Radical RXC Hits SEMA 2013

One of possibly the rarest and most unique vehicles to roll into SEMA 2013 can be found in the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch booth. The all-new Radical RXC is here.
For those not familiar with the British supercar creator, it builds some of the most aggressive track day cars available. The SR3 SL, was voted 2011 'Trackday Car Of The Year' by EVO magazine. The brand is also known for mating two Suzuki Hayabusa engines together as a powerplant.
Representing the same performance as a single seater but with room for a passenger and AC. The brand new Radical RXC may be built purely for extreme track driving but it is street legal. Only two examples currently exist in America, one being at SEMA that arrived this past Friday.
Powered by a new Ford Mustang V6, its 1,800 pound curb weight allows blistering performance. The 3.7L Ford Duratec 37 Ti-VCT engine produces 380hp, accelerating 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 175mph. The car does utilize its own throttle bodies, exhaust and standalone ECU.
According to a Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch rep, the RXC may later be available with a V8, the result of two Suzuki Hayabusa superbike engines paired together. Apart from engine and suspension most other components are produced by Radical.
The RXC is not available to drive at the Spring Mountain school. It carries a $180,000 price tag but that includes power steering. Can you imagine taking this to the track and then home?
