Meet The Scene's Hottest Drivers
This month we catch up with two red hot drivers: Hiro Sumida, a no-fear, balls-out drifter who keeps his foot on the gas at all times, which could explain why he tends to hit walls on a consistent basis, but that's what makes watching him so exciting; and Jeremy Lookofsky, a long time Honda drag racing vet who has always made his stand and won consistently with a naturally aspirated Honda engine.

Hiro Sumida
This Falken-sponsored driver only started drifting five years ago after racing in SCCA Solo II events for nearly a decade. After catching the drift bug from Moto P. of Drift Association, Hiro found the transition from autocrossing to drifting an easy one and practiced as hard as he could with an AE86. After the first year of Formula D, he saw an ad for a Toyota Chaser in a local LA paper and loved driving it so much he's dubbed himself "Mr. 4 Door." After several run-ins with the wall on several different occasions, Hiro's developed a reputation of being a wild driver, but when he's on his mark, he's on. This year, Falken rewarded him with a brand new IS 350 and he's loving the newfound power. He says, "Drifting's what I'm good at and what I really enjoy. No retirement plans for me yet."

Jeremy Lookofsky
Dip back into the pages of import racing history and you'll find this name: Jeremy Lookofsky. As one of the OG all-motor Honda heads from So Cal, he believed in the H22's capabilities over the tried-and-true B series engines that made Hondas so competitive in the first place, and used it rightfully so in his L'Natural CRX, the fastest all-motor CRX in the world and the very drag car that put his name on the map. He later switched to a Civic coupe, but his love for the H22 never wavered until the K24 made its way to the playing field. He has won repeatedly in the NHRA Sport Compact drag series in the All Motor class and finished 2006 as the class Champion. Don't ever doubt the potential of a high-revving Honda VTEC engine, especially if you're in the company of this fellow.
