Back in 1993, when Peter North was an up and coming (you know what I mean) buck, he was in the market for a new car. Fast cars and fast women are the demise of all men. Growing up in Canada, Peter had a '72 Cuda, but since moving to the US and becoming a stud, he hadn't had a fast car. Initially, he wanted a five-speed 300ZX Turbo, but during the testdrive he couldn't contain himself and went gonzo. He scared the piss out of the salesperson, who was in the car with him, and decided that this car was going to do nothing but get him in trouble. Instead, Peter refrained and bought himself the brand-new automatic non-turbo Nissan 300ZX you see before you.

As soon as he got the car, Peter starting modifying his 300ZX for NA power but that only got him so far. When a crashed 300ZX Turbo appeared at a local shop, Peter decide to correct his initial mistake and swap in the twin-turbo VG30DETT from the donor car. The rest as they say, is history.

Like an addiction, mod after mod came until the car made over 500whp. The bottom end was rebuilt with CP 8.5:1 pistons and Crower rods. Up on top, the two heads were ported and polished, manifolds Extrude Honed and stock turbos were ditched for a pair of twin HKS GT2530 turbos. Victim after victim soon felt the wrath of this 300ZX on the streets of SoCal. All done with that perfect smile and o-face that we all know too well.

Wanting it to be a sleeper, Peter tried to keep the exterior as stock as possible. Unfortunately, with all the power adders some exterior mods were a must. A lower front bumper from a turbo was installed to help add airflow. The car was lowered and anti-sway bars were installed to give the car more agility. As much as he wanted to keep the factory wheels, having over 500whp meant he needed more rubber for traction. Peter's ten-inch wide (Volk GT-P rims) were then wrapped with thick BF Goodrich G-Force T/A rubber. Much thicker rubber than what he's use to.

All jokes and sexual innuendos aside, Peter North is an extremely nice, humble, strong (yet gentle) man. I can't tell you all the stories he told me about what and who he's done in this car but let's just say Peter North is nothing short of a man's man. This 300ZX was his daily driver for many years, but just after this photo shoot the car was sold to a new owner. Peter has too many cars in the stable and it was time to release one of the horses. Left in his garage are his Mercedes AMG SL55, Mercedes AMG CLK Black Series and Ferrari F430. Serving both street and track duty, all three cars have gone under the knife for modifications. An engineer from Europe was even flown out to tune the supercharged F430. Fornicating with super hot girls and being rewarded with fast cars... where do we sign up?
