More changing of the guard here at Super Street: we're already missing Rikdaddy and as we close out this issue, we also bid a sad farewell to our favorite North Korean, Carter, as he takes on his new roles as feature editor of Import Tuner and editor of Siphon. We'll miss you, Dear Leader!
Henry z. Dekuyper
The Kuyp is also super, like Wes. We sent him to Las Vegas, an even worse fate than the outskirts of LA, to hang with the likes of D1 stars and NHRA import drag cars. We presume things went swimmingly based on the number of late night calls and text messages we all received after the event's conclusion.
Terence Patrick
While we usually reserve the services of Mr. Patrick for the obligatory girlie shots, we called Terence in this month to capture three of the scene's top drivers-and what he gave us was downright incredible. And he did it using our own lighting equipment, something we could never pull off ourselves.
Wes Allison
Wes is a super trooper, the man behind the man, behind the man. Whenever we turn the Wes signal on, he's there. No questions asked. He walked barefoot in the sweltering heat of the California desert to prove that no task is too great for him. When we insisted he at least put on a pair of sandals to prevent blistering, he laughed, then shot the Evasive Evo. Wes is too much.
Tyrone Rodriguez
This guy, this guy right here, is on fire. Tyrone has been pumping out stories on the regular for us, which is great considering we're two staff members down. Freelance: what a way to save our collective asses.
