But how the drivers of Insight racecar enjoy to race with Insight racecar? The drivers of Insight racecar make good lap time and keep on making good fuel mileage. Honda Insight racecar have fuel mileage gauge is same as stock one. If you would buy Honda Insight with Honda's navigation system in
Japan, you would be able to take part in "Formula E" race. It is Formula ECO race. All owners of Honda Insight with navigation system compete in fuel mileage. Honda links the Insight's navigation system with their servers. Honda's Navigation system can check fuel mileage of the Insight and send it to the server. The server uploads the result on the web site. There is no award but your name is on the web site. I think Honda's Formula E is new racing style for future. But I like stick shift. I will expect Honda CR-Z now!

Project Zed
John Bradshaw and team are planning to launch their 350Z Project Zed this year at the drag races of the FIA European Finals. With an expected 1.2 seconds for 0-60mph and 4.1 seconds for 0-168mph, Project Zed will definitely shatter some records. Bradshaw is no rookie to record breaking. John and his team already have set the record for the fastest quarter mile time in the world for a Nissan Skyline (7.68 seconds @ 177mph). The 350Z only houses a 3.5L V6, but with almost 1900bhp, taking on the American V8s should not be a problem.

Hybrid Tuning?
Hybrid cars like the Prius and the new Insight are becoming more and more popular. Toyota has even added a new car to their hybrid line-up, the Lexus HS. I'm wondering how long it's going to be before people start tuning hybrid cars. And when they do what will they tune them for? Will people tune them to go faster? After seeing the electric Tesla Roadster with almost 250hp, a 14k rpm redline, and a 12-second 1/4-mile pass, I don't doubt electronic motors for a second. Will hybrid owners be increasing the electricity somehow to go faster? Maybe by wiring up more batteries for more juice or something, I don't know. Another possible route for tuning could be for more mileage. Terra Force of Japan already has aero parts for the Prius. The one they had at last year's Tokyo Auto Salon was one of my favorite cars at the show. Mugen has also designed an aero kit for the Honda Insight. Whether these aero parts help reduce wind drag, and improve mileage, I don't know. But if these don't, there could be one in the future. Rays Engineering has also showed interest in hybrids, releasing their Eco Drive Gear line of wheels. They have four super light wheels made especially to fit the Prius and Insight. The lighter rotating mass will definitely help mileage. The 15" Eco Drive CE28 weights just 10.1 lbs. and comes in a sick white with green lip color. It's just a matter of time, and I can't wait to see it happen. Someone give me a hybrid to tune!
