Nissan Gt R Win Front View

The fireworks on the track at the Silverstone round of FIA GT competition was fast and furious, on and off the track. Sumo Power GT-R drivers Jamie Campbell-Walter and Warren Hughes came home third on track but ended up climbing the podium steps after being declared the winner. In an astonishing series of events the Aston Martin of Darren Turner and Tomas Enge saw the checkered flag fly but was DQ'd for a 'technical infringement.' Aston Martin got its other eye blackened when the second-place finisher driven by Fred Makowiecki and Thomas Accary received a time penalty for taking too long to come in for a drive-through penalty. From here on out let's hope the GT-R jockeys get to pop the corks in the winners circle the old fashion way; by squashing the competition in the heat of battle on the track.
