The 3.8L R-Spec Genesis coupe combines the thrills of Hyundai's 2.0L R-Spec performance with their bigger V6 engine. A 3.8-liter V6 engine that delivers 306-horsepower and 266 lbs-ft. of torque motivates the new R-Spec. And the V6 is backed by a smooth-shifting six-speed manual gearbox.
In the name of lighter weight and improved on-road prowess, the R-Spec has been put on a diet that sacrifices stuff like automatic headlights, cruise control and interior and exterior pieces.
Hyundai was quick to add some hard-hitting speed gear including a sport-tuned suspension set-up, a limited slip differential and a big contact patch provided by 19-inch shoes. A big brake package featuring Brembo brakes with 13.4-inch front discs, 13-inch rear discs and four-piston calipers all around is also part of the mix. Bite that STI and Evo owners. The prerequisite interior and exterior custom touches and badging round out the 3.8 R-Spec mod list.
