From the tuning scene... Königseder's tangerine dream shows what the European tuning peeps are doing with their GT-Rs. The VR38DETT has been pumped to about 580 horsepower via a reprogrammed ECU, a K&N air filter system and a custom titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic.

Königseder attacks the suspension by adding KW coilovers, 21-inch HRE alloy wheels wrapped by beefy Yokohama Advan Sport tires. A front lip spoiler and side skirts round out the mods. This is a nice Nissan for sure but the U.S. tuning scene led by SP Engineering, AMS Performance, Vivid Racing and Jotech Motorsports could smoke this thing with ease.

From the OEM scene... Nissan is getting in touch with its inner Godzilla and putting the final development touches on a seductive Spec-M version of the GT-R. Set to launch in 2011 the Spec-M has been spotted hot lapping 'the ring' in Germany, which indicates it is close to its development finish line.

There are no confirmed specs on the car but reports indicate most of the attention is being focused on the suspension. The starting point is a Spec-V edition and the footwork mods are intended to improve ride quality and retain or increase the Spec-V levels of grip. Exclusive paint schemes, minor body tweaks and fancier interior treatments round out the mods. Yep, no engine tuning is currently in the cards and U.S. market availability is undecided.
