RECARO Pole Position Seats Chosen for Top Gear

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - RECARO Pole Position seats have been selected for use in the U.S. version of Top Gear, the popular new hit television show on the HISTORY Channel. The seats are featured in the "small car," a Suzuki SX4 that is driven by celebrities in each episode of Top Gear.

RECARO's Pole Position seat is ideal for newcomers or professionals who are looking for a high-performance seat. The Pole Position seat is available in glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP), and was recently released in Europe in Carbon-Kevlar® (CFK) composite. The carbon version weighs approximately 4.5 kg making it the lightest retrofit seat in the world. Each seat features a belt guide for a four-point belt, but can also be used with a traditional three-point belt. The Pole Position includes an integrated headrest and comfortable lumbar cushions for additional support in high-performance driving situations.

The Mitsubishi EVO X with RECARO seats will be featured on Top Gear this Sunday. In addition to being selected to outfit Top Gear's Suzuki SX4, RECARO will also make an additional appearance in Top Gear's second episode which will re-air on Dec. 3, 2010 at 10:00 p.m. ET. RECARO seats are featured as original equipment on the 2011 Mitsubishi EVO X that will be featured in the show's second episode.
