There has been a lot of law enforcement action on imported Skyline GT-Rs and other JDM gems in recent months and the proceeding have gotten faster and 'furiouser.'

Allegedly Daryl Alison, a 45-year old ex-Orange County Sheriff's deputy who worked at Costa Mesa, California-based Kaizo Industries this summer when it was raided by US Customs agents, has been charged with removing the markings (VINs) from an imported Japanese domestic market vehicle. And a car that saw screen-time in the fourth Fast and Furious movie was part of the sting operation.

Kaizo Industries allegedly disassembled the cars, shipped them here, put them back together, humpty-dumpty style, affixed a faked VIN and sold them. For Alison the bad news includes a year in prison and a $100,000 fine.
