Scion Racing Debuts Tc Drift Teams Close View

Ready for Formula D to start? The wait is over. This weekend April 8-9, FD kicks off its seven-round season at the Streets of Long Beach. Super Street had the pleasure of attending a pre-party hosted by Scion Racing in downtown Los Angeles with the debut of its two drift competitors. The Team RS*R tC will be piloted by Ken Gushi and it’s backed with a 790hp 2AZ-FE engine using a Garrett 3788R turbo. Other goodies include a G-Force four-speed tranny, RS-R suspension, Wilwood brakes, Super Advan wheels, Hankook tires and custom widebody. Ken finished 15th last year.

The other car in the spotlight is Team Need for Speed’s ’11 tC. Driven by Fredric Aasbo from Norway, the car’s powered by a turbocharged 2AR-FE with 500+hp. Other mods include KW suspension, Wilwood brakes, Motegi wheels and a custom Seibon widebody kit designed by Jon Sibal. Fredric finished 13th last year.
