In case you haven’t heard, one of the most exciting video games to be released in recent times has arrived in the form of EA’s Need For Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed. Geared to more than just gamers, this is an auto enthusiast’s dream come somewhat true (you still don’t get into an actual car, but you can play one on TV, literally), and we can honestly say that this is one of the best automotive titles we’ve played to date. With plenty of action, ways to modify your cars and dynamic graphics/game-play, EA is also going to release a PDLC package called the Speedhunters Edition as a way for you to enjoy the game with additional features that you, as someone we’d expect who loves to modify their car, is going to love. Let’s break it down.

Gone Speedhunting Tunnel Vision

One of the first things we do with our cars at a young age is go drag racing. You might be a drifter or hardparker, but let’s admit it; we’ve all engaged in a little exhibition of speed on some dark street, and liked it. This time you get to keep the excitement contained within your living/bedroom with the Drag sequence, where you can take Chris Rado’s World Racing drag Scion tC for game play that will take you up to the GT1 World Championship, plus you’ll be given play advice from Chris himself as you work up the ranks. Another straight-line feature will be the Standing Mile sequence, a fun area we’ve tried out personally, and you can play in the Twins Turbo Dodge Viper for another Cup that can be earned to take you towards the GT1 Championship. If you haven’t reached 250mph in a standing mile event, well, here’s your chance.

In this Speedhunters PDLC package, you’ll also gain access to tuned versions of existing cars, including: custom Speedhunters Pagani C9, V8-swapped Mercedes190 2.5 Evo2, Dodge Challenger with Viper V10 conversion/custom Watanabe deep dish wheels, Hakosuka Skyline GT-R 2000GT with a 400hp RB26 (super sick!), custom Speedhunters LF-A and so much more. The PDLC is worth it alone to see these cars in the showroom function so you can stare and foam at the mouth. What’s even better, there are tons of aftermarket parts you can purchase because once you’re topping speeds of 250mph, you’re gonna need bigger turbos or a stronger clutch to handle up to 1300hp. .
