Max Ramos Came In The FWD Class As A Heavy Favorite With The Number One Qualifying Position With His 9.71 E.t., But A Blown Intake Manifold And Red-light During Eliminations Sent Him Home. Touny Phounthavon’s 10.76 Pass Was Good Enough For The Win Against Kyle Moore In The Finals. Darren Thomas Took A Year Break To Come Back To His Strongest Win In The Forced Induction Pro Class With A 9.585 At 143.77mph. The All Motor Pro Win Went To Jason Lumpkin In His 11-second CR-X.
Rockingham Dragway (04-03-2011)
It was a local victory for the FWD class when Blue Ridge Motorsports’ Civic put down a 10.4 pass against Ricky Vanzant. In All Motor Pro, Neal Todwann’s K-swapped Civic ran a respectable 12.075 at 109.11mph. The Forced Induction Sport class was won by Grant Hartsell in his 11-second RX-7, and Tim Lilley took the Bracket class honors with an unusually RWD-converted del Sol with a K-engine. Team Chozen won Best Club Representation in the car show.
