Although it looks like a facelift, the 2012 tC is a fresh redesign and the new coupe is better in all respects. To celebrate, Scion has developed a Release Series special edition tC. The car’s retina-popping High Voltage paint is joined by a TRD body kit featuring fresh front and rear lower valences, side skirts, contrasting black side view mirrors and black 18-inch alloy wheels. The cabin gets the High Voltage treatment with color-tuned black and yellow seat fabric, leather wrapped steering wheel with yellow stitching and an individually numbered badge. The tC RS 7.0 features Smart Key, a convenient keyless entry system that unlocks the doors with a touch of the door handle. The system also includes a red TRD push-button start feature. The use of the Smart Key system on the RS 7.0 is a first for Scion. Act fast, Scion plans to build only 2,200 examples. Pricing starts at $20,905 for a manual transmission version, $21,905 for an RS 7.0 fitted with an automatic.
