We raise up for any new rear-drive platform so we snapped to attention when we saw this concept from Kia. Kia’s chief designer, Peter Schreyer, has done a great job transforming the look and impact of Kia products, adding a distinct style to match the company’s improving mechanicals and interiors. The sweeping and seductive Kia GT four-door sports sedan concept puts a stranglehold on your retinas with its overall silhouette, intense design cues and generous use of carbon fiber.
The GT does have the feel of a Scion FR-S/Subaru BR-Z with two additional doors. The rear-wheel drive concept is powered by a 3.3-liter turbocharged Lambda V6 Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine pumping out a hefty 395 horsepower. We are not sure whether the concept will see production but going rear-drive is the next logical step for the Korean automaker.
