Thanks to Mugen Euro you can drop the hammer in a CR-Z and mean it. They managed to pump an extra 50 horsepower into the CR-Z, bumping the output of the car’s 1.5-liter gasoline engine to 172 ponies. The Mugen recipe of performance includes a centrifugal supercharger, charge-air intercooler, a reworked intake system and a specially mapped ECU. The bottom line is a 130+ mph top speed and 0-60 in the 6.1-second range, a whopping three seconds-plus faster than factory issue CR-Zs. The car retains all its green greatness including the three-mode IMA system’s Sport, Normal and Econ settings. We need this joint here.
