This car was built for racing, now it’s time to create some history! KSR was excited to receive the opportunity to compete against the best racecar drivers in the world and to do it with the new Scion FR-S just made it sweeter! With National Championship Driver Robert Stout set to get behind the wheel, the KSR Scion FR-S has been built to the Pirelli World Challenge spec rules for the GTS class. It has also been built with safety at the forefront with additional protection built into the roll cage. Comfort is also very important to the driver and without it a slower pace always follows. Form, function, safety, comfort and speed are integral aspects of a successful race program and are essential to compete at a world-class level against other manufacturer-supported teams. The FR-S GTS was picked up from the dealer on August 10th in Indiana. It was driven to North Carolina, and completely stripped down to a bare tub that weighed 537 lbs. Race prep began and the platform is still a work in progress with a lot of changes and updates to come before the first World Challenge event in March 2013 on the Streets of St. Petersburg. This is the first time the car has been viewed in public!
