New Forza Horizon Is For Guys Like Us! - Intel

We had the chance to preview Forza Horizon this summer and it surprised us.

There’s no denying it…Forza is one of the best driving simulators around. We’ve spent sleepless nights trying to shave every last tenth on the Nürburgring in our Porsche GT3 Cup car. But after four successful versions, developer Playground Games, along with Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft, have released a Forza for the people.

Forza Horizon isn’t about building crazy race cars and driving on the world’s famous tracks. This new game relates more to what we do everyday on the road and focuses on the street scene with open road racing. It’s set in Colorado where you can experience everything from driving canyon roads, taking up one-on-one challenges, high speed battles on the freeway and off-roading over the mountains. We’ll be honest, it’s got a little bit of a Need for Speed feel to it, but with the amazing engineering of the Forza franchise—you can still modify the characteristics of your car with the tuning and the actual driving feel is the same as other Forza games.

We had the chance to preview Forza Horizon this summer and it surprised us. You don’t simply have to go from race-to-race in the game, but you can explore and drive wherever you want to on the streets. And with the multiplayer mode, we think this game will easily become a hit. We couldn’t knock the new soundtrack either—sounds like we’re listening to Sirius BPM radio!
