Mean Green Mitsubishi
Proudly serving his country in the Marine Corps is Cpl. Jon M. Preuett. His Eclipse's body panels have been replaced with a Bomber front bumper, Erebunit Style 936 side skirts and rear bumper. The front fenders are from SLR, while the carbon fiber hood is an XtremeGT piece. Carbon fiber is also the choice for his front splitter and rear spoiler. The doors open courtesy of an Autoloc Lambo Door kit. Vehicle lighting is enhanced with projection headlights, TYC carbon fiber taillights and an undercar lighting kit from Street Glow.
The interior features MPOD racing seats with Sparco 4-point harnesses. Diamond plated steel floor mats shield the carpet.
Jon's Eclipse rolls on 19-inch HPD Spinout rims and Toyo Proxes 4 tires. Eibach Sportline springs and KYB GR-2 struts and shocks smooth out the road. Brembo cross-drilled rotors replace the stockers. Under the hood, an AEM V2 intake pulls air in, while a custom dual exhaust releases it.
Flying below the radar and off the grid is Nick and his 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. Nick's Talon has been sharpened with the addition of 1990 JDM Galant VR-4 4G63 engine with a ported 14b turbo. To boost the power party the balance shafts were removed, and HKS 272 cams, FIC 650cc injectors, a JM Fabrications intake manifold and a Slowboy Racing FMIC were added. The stock 14b turbo with 7cm housing, exhaust manifold and O2 housing have all been ported. A Hallman Manual Boost Controller, A'PEXi S-AFC, pocketlogger software and Auto Meter boost and A/F gauges keep things in check while on the hunt.
Switching gears is a breeze with the ACT clutch supported by stainless clutch line. Spoolin Up is the choice for a fuel pressure regulator while fumes are expelled via a 3-inch turbo back exhaust. Stainless steel turbo oil lines are a final touch.
The running gear consists of Eibach Sportline springs and KYB AGX adjustable struts soaking up road irregularities via Acura RSX-S wheels and Kumho Ecsta MX 225/50/16 tires. Matching the blacked out wheels is the Frank's Custom Fiberglass carbon fiber hood.
2003 Mitsubishi Evolution VIII
Scott Douglass of Hill Air Force Base, Utah, wrote in to show off his 2003 Mitsubishi Evolution that has been Dynoflash retuned. This Evo has all the right touches inside and out. Showcasing a Perrin TBE, undercarriage brace and test pipe, this Evo also boasts a bit of Buschur Racing in the form of upper intercooler pipes, intercooler and mini battery kit. Scott monitors the power with a Hallman Manual Boost Controller, Defi Boost and EGT gauges, A'PEXi SAFC-II and HKS turbo timer. Providing some cool acoustics is a Forge RS BOV. Lastly on the internals are Helix lower intercooler pipes and HKS 272 cams. The clean external appearance is set off by a Varis carbon lip, MR Vortex Generator, blacked out headlights, Evo VIII taillights, and an EVO VIII badge from the U.K. The eye-catching wheels are Volk LE37 18-inchers wrapped in Nitto NT555 235/40/18 rubber.
