Interview Conducted Over The Phone By Jacob LevetonInterview with Michelle Terese Flynn2NR: A Tae-Kwan-Do blackbelt, huh? I'm going to be sure to avoid meeting you in a back alley late at night. How did you get started with that?MTF: I started getting into it around when I was 11, and got my black belt at 15. I saw my little brother in a tournament and it looked interesting so I quit gymnastics to start kickin' butt. I started taking classes, started fighting people and one thing led to another.
2NR: How was your relationship with your brother growing up? Did he always beat up on you?MTF: I actually get along with my brother quite well, we're really good friends. He's the one that got me into import modeling too! I just started this past year and it's the first time he's been doing the whole show circuit.
2NR: Have you had any other modeling jobs away from imports?MTF: I did the Hooters calendar this year, I'm December in the 2003 calendar.
2NR: Do you work there? Or was it just an open casting call?MTF: I still work at Hooters. It's a great job. It will put me through college. I can make good money working only a few nights a week and it's a lot easier than any other jobs out there.
2NR: So is it Hooters and college?MTF: Oh there's more! (Laughs) I'm also a part-time certified massage therapist.
2NR: What are you going to school for? Massage therapy?MTF: I'm studying health science, I'm trying to get into a graduate program for sports medicine. Ultimately I wanted to be a massage therapist, but I have a bad hand injury and can't pursue that full time. So I figured sports medicine would be a nice substitute.
2NR: Are you originally from Georgia?MTF: Actually I'm originally from Montreal, my family is still up there for the most part. I go back at least once a year. Montreal is a nice place to visit, but I don't know if I could live there year around. I don't know if I could live in the snow.
2NR: Isn't the humidity in Georgia worse?MTF: Oh, I can't stand the humidity in Georgia either! I could deal without that. I like the beaches a lot because I'm only 30 minutes away! I go there as much as I can.
2NR: Have you done a lot of traveling? Isn't Orlando pretty far from Georgia? MTF: I LOVE to travel! That's probably the one thing I miss the most about Tae Kwan Do. The furthest I've gone is to Greece with the U.S. Cup Team. But we also traveled all around the U.S. I got to see a lot.
2NR: Do you have any goals with the modeling? Maybe you can travel?MTF: I don't have any big goals, I'm just seeing where things take me. Working at Hooters and doing all the car shows has really been opening all kinds of doors. Of course I'll still have school, but I want to do other things. I guess right now I just want to be on the cover of 2NR. If I get my name big enough, maybe I'll do Playboy.
2NR: Have you done any nudes? And where can we find them?MTF: Nope, I haven't done anything serious. Just messing around with the camera, but my boyfriend has all of those pictures.
2NR: Oh, a boyfriend, huh? How serious is that?MTF: I've been seeing him for about seven years now.
2NR: Is there a ring?MTF: Nope, no ring, so it's not permanent yet.
2NR: There's still hope! OK, so let's find out some of your favorites. Let's start off with foodMTF: Sushi, probably Spicy Tuna.
2NR: Car?MTF: Right now I drive a '98 Civic, but lately I've been digging the 350Z.
2NR: Singer? MTF: Definitely Madonna! I grew up with her and I used to dress like her.
2NR: Sleepwear?MTF: In the nude.
2NR: Alcoholic Beverage?MTF: Crown and Ginger ale.
2NR: The big finale! Sexual Position?MTF: Doggy style is my favorite! I like having my hair pulled.
Interview with Melanie Tillbrookwww.melanietillbrook.com2NR: Tell us how you got wrapped up into the whole modeling field.MT: Actually, in college I went to a couple casting calls and started doing swimsuit calendars. I've done a few of them. My biggest was the "Girls of FSU."
2NR: What month are you?MT: I got the cover, actually. Surprised the heck out of me! But I don't know what month, I think a summer month. It's the 2004 calendar, so it's not done yet.
2NR: How did you get into the Import side of things?MT: I love cars so I thought I would try it out, see how it was. Hot Import Nights was actually my first big show. I was there with a company who was selling some DVDs and I had heard about your competition online from a girl who did it last year. She said it was really fun, so I figured I'd try it out.
2NR: What's your job away from modeling?MT: I go to school full time and work at a chiropractor's office.
2NR: Is that what you want to do?MT: Actually, don't really want to go into that all, I'm studying marketing and I'm also a singer.
2NR: Compare your song style to someone we might know. Are we talking about Lil' Kim or are we talking about Lauryn Hill?MT: I guess you could compare it to a combination of Aaliyah, Anne-Marie, and Christina Aguilera. I think I can make it big like that, but I'm still developing my voice right now. Eventually I'll get there!
2NR: How is school going? Lots of partying? FSU is a pretty big school. That has to be fun.MT: Definitely, I'm big into school spirit, I go to all the football games and stuff. I'm out there with everyone else doing "the chop." I also do my fair share of partying, but that comes with the game. I work at the same time though, so you have to give and take with partying, studying and working. It's all about balance!
2NR: What car would we catch you driving right now?MT: I have a '99 Saturn three-door. It's cute and kinda sporty. It wasn't really my choice but I can't complain. I don't want to deal with fixin' it up so I'm going to wait until I get my "pimp car."
2NR: And what kind of "pimp car" would that be?MT: I'm going to get an IS300 for my next car when I graduate.
2NR: How about a dream car?MT: Gosh, there's so many dream cars! Come on now! Don't make me choose. Hmm, I really like the Rx-7s. The new RX-8, I'm feelin' those! Maybe like one or two Bentleys down the road when I'm platinum, you know! No big deal.
2NR: Yeah, you know. A Bentley or two, no big deal. I got mine, right? MT: You know it!
2NR: What would I, or rather, one of our readers have to do in order to get a date with you? MT: That's a tough task! Well, they just have to be real and make me laugh; know how to have a good time. I like to have fun and enjoy myself. It makes life easier.
2NR: So are you taken? Or is there a chance we could get that date?MT: Oh I'm single and ready to mingle!
2NR: That sounds like a line straight out of a book! But let's get into the important information: Cowgirl, backstroke, or animal style? MT: Mmm, probably back stroke. I like the motion of the ocean, baby!
2NR: Sahara desert, Amazon Forrest, or Vegas Strip? MT: It's all about Vegas, sin city!
2NR: Leather or Lace? MT: I like lace. Keep it nice and feminine.
2NR: Brains or Braun? MT: Brains, gotta have it. I don't go to FSU for nothin' !
2NR: The big finale: Do you we have to wait a whole three dates? MT: Yup, you gotta prove yourself to me.
Model Search Winners, HoustonInterview With Thee Souane2NR: We've always found Texas to be really hot and muggy. Have you been stuck in this place since the beginning?TS: Oh yeah, I've grown up here. It's humid, but it's my hometown, my stomping grounds. I kind of like it here compared to California or Florida or other places. California is too fast for me and it's a lot more kick back here. Plus I went to San Mateo for Hot Import Nights and it was so cold at night over there! I just couldn't do it!
2NR: Do you get to do a lot of traveling with your modeling?TS: San Mateo Hot Import Nights was my first time in California. I would like to travel more on the West Coast, but we'll see how things go. I always end up on the East Coast like in Florida, Pennsylvania, sometimes places like Louisiana. I hear Los Angeles is the place to be, so it would be fun visiting there.
2NR: Do you have a side job, away from the modeling? It sounds like that keeps you pretty busy.TS: I'm a full time student at the University of North Texas, studying Business Administration. I might go into marketing or management but I just don't know yet. It's still too early to tell.
2NR: You sound pretty busy. What do you do on the weekends to relax?TS: When I have a break from car shows or homework (which is hardly ever), I go to the movies, go shopping and just hang out like everyone else. My boyfriend has an apartment, so I get to spend a lot of time at the swimming pool getting all nice and tan.
2NR: You mentioned a boyfriend. Is there a chance of stealing a date with you?TS: Well, I'm not married, so you never know. I take things day-by-day. We're not taking it serious. We've been together a year and a few months, but there isn't a ring on my finger. It all depends on how nice you are to me!
2NR: Let's say I'm a super nice guy. What kind of sleepwear might we find you in later tonight?TS: Normally I sleep naked, sometimes just my panties. Tonight I'm going to my friend's apartment, so I can't sleep naked around them. I like just sleeping in my panties. I'm most comfortable in that.
2NR: Mmmm... OK, we'd better get on track before my boss finds out about this. How did you get into modeling?TS: My friend, Asian Heather. She does a lot of car shows. She's the one who's responsible for getting me into it. She told me it was lots of fun and she convinced me to try it out. So I started taking pictures and stuff and it just went from there. I love meeting new people and traveling, so it's been fun for me. Everybody's been super nice, so it makes it a little easier. I thought it was going to be a lot of bitchy girls, but all the girls I've met have actually been pretty cool.
2NR: Enough talk, let's get to the good stuff. Favorite drink? TS: I dunno, I like a lot of stuff! Cosmopolitans, I like that. Margaritas are always good. Kamikazes are good too. I like girly drinks, but I guess that's OK. I don't like it when guys drink girly drinks. It makes me wonder if they can't handle their shit.
2NR: Top, bottom, or Fido-style? TS: Bottom. Less work!
2NR: Desert, Landing strip, or jungle? TS: Desert
2NR: Leather or lace? TS: Leather. It sticks to your body and makes you sweat!
2NR: Ooh, kinky! Are you a pursuer or a pursuee? TS: I'm kinda half-and-half, but if I want something, I go for it.
2NR: Stock equipment or slightly modified? TS: Modified. Not everyone is perfect from the box, so you gotta work your way up to it.
2NR: Can we just get to the point, or are you making us wait 3 dates? TS: It depends. If I like him, I'll kiss on the first date anything else, we'll see how things go.
Model Search Winners, HoustonInterview With Jeannie Lee2NR: How long ago did you get into modeling?JL: Since just this past summer, it's been almost a year now. A friend of mine works for Volkswagen and he asked me to be a promo girl for them.
2NR: What was your biggest or best job in the past year?JL: I haven't done too much, probably the biggest was Hot Import Nights in Dallas for Volkswagen. At that show, I started getting offers from people to do some bigger things, but I just couldn't pursue them. A lot of them were in California and I just couldn't take the time off because of my work. Plus it's a huge commitment to go out to California. I still have school to worry about.
2NR: So what's your job away from modeling?JL: I work at a beer store and also at a skin clinic. The beer store is self-explanitory. At the skin clinic I give facial treatments and stuff like that. I'm just doing it on the side for now, I know it's not really a career.
2NR: Wait a second, you said beer store. By my calculations, you're not 21...JL: It's family owned. You only have to be 18 to work there. Don't worry, it passes the legal limits!
2NR: Just making sure! Now you mentioned school, where are you going with that?JL: I'm still in school, hopefully I'll be going into the medical field as a physician, maybe a pediatrician.
2NR: Do you get to do much traveling, either with your modeling or for personal reasons?JL: I've really only traveled to Houston. I haven't ventured out very far. Nobody has been very serious with me for modeling. They've introduced me and said they wanted to use me, but nobody has really followed through.
2NR: Since we like cars, we want to know what kind of dream car you have your eyes set on.JL: Either a red or yellow Mazda RX-8! Something vibrant so people see me down the road.
2NR: You wouldn't leave it stock, would you?JL: I like it all show, no go. If I fix it up, it wouldn't be the engine. I like people looking at me, plus speed gets you in trouble.
2NR: What would one of our readers have to do in order to get a date with you? Do they have a chance? Is there a chance?JL: First of all, many guys can't carry a decent conversation these days, so that's first. Whatever happens from there is up to them. But I'm kinda seeing someone, however I like my options open.
2NR: If you had the chance to live out a dream, what would it be?JL: I'd Rule the world! Everything would go smoothly; I wouldn't let there be chaos or violence or suffering anything like that.
2NR: Ok, now for some quick-response questions: Cowgirl, backstroke, or animal style? JL: Hmmm... probably cowgirl. I think you look a little bit more elegant like that, not too rough and wild.
2NR: Satin and classy or silk and sassy? JL: I like satin. Silk is not my material.
2NR: Brains or Braun? I think I know the answer to this one...JL: Brains, definitely!
2NR: Are you a pursuer or a pursuee? JL: I'm a pursuer. If I want something, I go for it.
2NR: The big finale: Do you we have to wait a whole 3 dates? JL: Who said you'll pass the first date? Don't get ahead of yourself there.
