Just a glimpse at Jocelyn's beauty and you'll believe that the "gold" those leprechauns were protecting was Ms. Ireland herself. She is a self-proclaimed motorsports nut and has won-by becoming the new spokesmodel for Magnaflow-the super lotto of open-wheel fandom by signing posters alongside the Andretti's at the '07 SEMA Show. Her modest Northern California upbringing coupled with her stunning good looks and "go-fast" interests make her a perfect fit for gear heads like us. If only they all came this way.
2nr: So I hear you are in talks to do a movie. What's the movie you are doing?
Jocelyn Ireland: The funny thing about that is that I didn't even know about it until you told me earlier today. Apparently, it's a horror-type movie. I checked the cast listing and it seems like I'm part of the cast.
2nr: Currently, you are in the Bay Area, any plans to move back to Southern California and find your dream job?
JI: I actually am planning to move back down. Although I'm such a sucker for modeling-I love modeling-my dream job is to be a commentator for the motorsports industry. For as long as I can remember I've been to races and incorporating everything I enjoy would be phenomenal.
2nr: What type of motorsports do you enjoy?
JI: I think the only type I've not gotten into is drag. One of my all-time favorites was INSA, but they took that away. My brother is into drifting, and he's kind of been getting me into that lately. I don't know. Anything with an engine, wheels, rubber and a track...I'm all about it.
2nr: You seem to be splitting your time between Northern and Southern Cali.
JI: Yes. I've been here for a little while now, and I'm itching to go down south. I'm sure that once I'm down there I'll want to go north again. I'll claim my hometown as Novato, but basically I'm a nomad. I'll go wherever the wind blows me.
2nr: Where would you be vacationing?
JI: My family spent a lot of time in Hawaii. I feel most at home on a beach. I feel best someplace where I can wear a bikini.
2nr: What is your favorite body part?
JI: Goodness. That's kinda subjective.
2nr: We're simply asking what do you like about YOU. Look in the mirror
JI: It's a tie between my lips and my legs. My double L's.
2nr: What would guys say your best feature was? Your hockey sticks?
JI: Probably my double L's.
2nr: How did you get your start in modeling?
JI: When I was going to school in Santa Barbara, someone had asked me to model. That went on for a little bit and then met some people who offered to take me to Spain. I worked in Spain for a week-and-a-half and after that, I decided to explore my career in modeling. Right now I split my time as a graphic designer and a model.
2nr: What kind of design do you do?
JI: I'm not a web designer...I'm more of a print designer.
2nr: What is your type of guy?
JI: I'm a sucker for a nice smile and eyes. But that only goes so far. I mean if I can't talk to you we're not getting past "hello."
2nr: That's very generic. Lets try it this way: Who in Hollywood is married to the man your supposed to be with?
JI: Oh my gosh. I try to steer clear from all that Hollywood stuff. But based on looks Jude Law is amazing! But then again, I'm a Tom Brady nut.
2nr: What's "fun" for you?
JI: You mean besides hanging out at the racetrack? I told you, I'm really a big race fan. Other than that, I like going out dancing with my girlfriends.
2nr: Name 5 things you were doing before picking up this phone call.
JI: Watching this 'Niners game that I'm missing. Go 'Niners! Having a glass of wine with my mom. Chatting it up with my brother on his new job. Tracking down the numbers from my cell phone that was stolen in Arizona. And lastly, researching the movie that you said I was supposedly in.
2nr: What have you been doing lately?
JI: I'm the face of Magnaflow. I'm so happy to be working with them. I'm especially happy that I'll be signing posters right next to the Andretti's!
JI: My mom, my brother, Jessica, Jay (for hooking up the Magnaflow job!) and all my Novato Crew.
