Let's face it without import models, car shows would just be a sausage fest of car geeks. It's cool that we can talk about each other's builds and how they're coming along, but eventually somebody has to bring up a model in the industry. Did you check out that new video by Bowls with Sandra Wong? Have you seen that cutie from the bay Alessica Tee? Or I wonder who's going to be at the model lounge at the event?
The Praxis Productions show Auto Gallery in Huntington Beach, Ca was this past weekend and aside from the car competition I was looking forward to the Miss Auto Gallery pageant. Judges included last year's Miss Auto Gallery Amy Ames, red headed model Jelly Ranger, and yours truly. To be clear we weren't just looking for a pretty face. We were judging based on poise, posture, personality, social skills, and the ability to answer questions on the spot.
I have to give props to these girls. It is nerve racking to be on the stage with a horde of photographers watching your every move. The candidates were given a minimum of 15 points and a maximum of 25. The competition consisted of three rounds the first two were bikini rounds and the last was club attire.
Things turned climactic as the final two models Jenna Lane and Christie Truong accumulated the same exact amount of points. I swear I'm not making this up. The way we settled things on stage was through a dance off where Christie had the edge on Jenna. Nonetheless Jenna won the hearts of many with her rapping skills and inspiring speech on her modeling career. It was an interesting experience for the judges and the contestants. Joking aside these girls were all amazing to work with. Here's a list of all the candidates that day. Who do you think should've won? Leave a comment below!
