She may be posing in front of an American flag, but this gorgeous new Super Street girl is Lucy Miller, born and raised in Australia. We were lucky enough to catch her in L.A. during her busy schedule as a model, clothing designer, actress, and, well, she does a lot of things. So enjoy her feature, follow her on Instagram, and be sure to watch out for her video on superstreetonline.com. Seeing her in photos is one thing, but hearing her sexy accent will make you fall in love. We did!
We love your accent, but where exactly are you from, Lucy?
I was born in Adelaide in South Australia. I travel so much these days for work, I am barely in one place long enough to be able to tell. But I always come home to the beautiful, tropical city of Cairns alongside the Great Barrier Reef. That's where my parents live, and I am incredibly close with them.
Is modeling all you do for a living?
I model and act part-time. I am also currently working on a number of things but most importantly, the launch of my own business—a swimwear and costume label called Fiasco. I hope to eventually branch out into a lifestyle brand doing clothing, shoes, accessories, events, everything!
Sounds like you have a lot on your plate! How'd you get into modeling?
I started when I was living in Vancouver, Canada, at 19 and cheerleading for the local CFL team. The manager of our team runs Miss Bikini Body Canada, and all the girls got together and talked me into entering. I ended up winning for the country, and from there got scouted for more events, competitions, and photo shoots. The rest is how they say, history!
We know you're from Down Under, but what's your ethnicity?
I get asked this all the time, and people expect all kinds of exotic answers! Sadly, not the case, though—I am all Aussie with a tiny amount of German and Spanish way back in there somewhere.
Besides modeling, traveling, and being busy, do you have any other special skills?
I'm a bit of an overachiever. I play guitar and have sung and written songs since I was 8—not that I've let anyone hear or read anything as of yet! I also dance and do a lot of my own choreography, design and sew all of the swimwear and costumes I currently sell, and finally I'm a part-time makeup artist. I'm just a super-creative person and love trying new things and learning.
Geez, slow down! How about something unusual about you?
I'm sure I have a lot of unusual hobbies, but I've noticed recently that I tend to collect Batman clothing. I am a bit of a nerd at heart, so I love the whole superhero thing.
Do you know anything about cars?
Not a lot... Haha! I'm embarrassed to say that I am yet to graduate from my learner license! But my dad is amazing with cars, so I go to him for any car-related questions.
Sounds like we need to teach you! What was your worst date?
I've been pretty lucky. If I even go on a date with someone, they've done pretty well and checked a lot of boxes to make it that far. I'm super-picky and quite happy being single and independent right now, so I don't date much unless someone really sparks my interest.
Oh... so you're single. What do you look for in your men?
Making me laugh, being able to have both sweet and sexy sides. Don't be too nice all the time; I like a bit of an asshole. The "nice guy, bad boy" thing really works for me! Having a talent or passion helps, too. Dressing well but not too well—if you take longer than me to get ready, that's a big turnoff!
Have a favorite part of your body?
It's usually my bum, but right now I'd probably say my boobs.
Favorite thing about visiting the U.S.?
So much delicious candy, junk food, and everything is way cheaper. Pumpkin spice lattes are definitely a major highlight for me when I'm here toward the winter. There's also so much opportunity here, and it's really inspiring. I've also made some incredible friends and I hate to say, but I think I have more great mates over here than in Australia!
But of course... We are here! What's something we should know about Australia besides kangaroos?
No, we don't have kangaroos in our backyards or just hopping around everywhere. Haha! I rarely see them, and when I do they are small wallabies up in the forest or in the foothills late at night. And yes, we have Christmas, Easter, and New Year's—all at the same time as the rest of the world!
Finally, tell us three interesting facts about you.
I can be either super quiet and shy or super loud and silly. I make way too many "that's what she said" jokes. I love watching and playing sports.
