Blow This Joint
Fidanza replacement CV shafts incorporate outboard joints designed to be 30 percent stronger than many OE joints, as well as a 4340 chrome-moly outer joint stub. The shafts' center tube, manufactured from high-tensile steel, is also approximately 30 percent thicker than standard tubes. Thick, rugged yellow boots are loaded with high-temperature, high-pressure synthetic grease to protect and lubricate the joints. All shafts include an ABS ring to ensure the system remains functional on ABS-equipped vehicles. Applications currently include Integra, Civic, Eclipse and Impreza, among others. For more details or to find a Fidanza dealer in your area, call (440) 259-5656 or visit www.aluminumflywheels.com.

Battery Up!
Annihilator is announcing the availability of their 630 CCA Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) race cell battery, P/N 880-110. The AGM technology eliminates all the hazards of conventional batteries. Acid electrolyte is contained in the dense filling of absorbent micro fibrous silica glass between the positive and negative plates. Sealed in a polymer case with positive relief valves, the sealed case and valves reclaim the hydrogen and oxygen vapors and redirect them into the glass mat to replenish the race cells' electrolyte levels. The benefits of the AGM dry cell technology include: allowing the cell to be mounted in any position without fear of spillage, allowing the cell to be deep cycled hundreds of times, and allowing the cell to be highly resistant to vibrations in harsh environments. The race cell battery offers a lower internal resistance allowing it to recharge faster, discharge longer and generate greater starting power. The 880-110 generates 630 cold cranking amps (CCA) at 32F, 800 cranking amps (CA) at 32F, and 940 hot cranking amps (HCA) at 32F with a 91-minute reserve capacity. The Holley Annihilator race cell weighs in at 36 lb; measures only 7.6 inches tall, 6.7 inches long and 7.9 inches wide; and features brass SAE combination posts with 3/8-inch top threads. Call them up at (270) 781-9741 or head to www.holley.com.

Get Buff
Craftsman 7- and 10-inch buffer/polishers feature contoured, front-assist, wraparound handles with soft grip rear handles to make these power tools comfortable to use. The contoured handles also help provide control while enhancing the machine's ability to vertically polish the sides of cars, trucks and vans, even boats and RVs. Counterbalanced for steady performance, the polishing machines have powerful motors that dampen vibration and increase durability. The buffer's orbits per minute (opm) simulates hand polishing for a swirl-free finish. They use three-layer foam pads to help reduce vibration and heat buildup. Craftsman 7-inch and 10-inch buffer/polishers are available at Sears retailers or online at www.sears.com/craftsman.

Protection Is Important
Earl's Performance Plumbing, a division of Holley Performance Products, is announcing their new line of Earl's Tuff-Grip Work Gloves. Never again will you have to deal with steel braid cutting you hands wide open or knuckles being blasted while turning a wrench. Earl's Tuff-Grip gloves enable you to work with increased confidence by providing a high degree of protection from heat and abrasion while improving grip and control. And we all know how pivotal grip and control are when it comes to performance. Earl's Tuff-Grip gloves feature a Clarino palm and full index finger design for improved longevity and fit. I won't even go there. The EVA palm pad helps dampen the shock of pneumatic power tools. The un-restrictive, relaxed anatomic design allows full dexterity and wrist movement without elastic enclosures on your wrist. Velcro flaps secure the wrist opening. Earl's Tuff-Grip gloves are also totally machine washable for easy clean up and long life. And hey, if Earl wears 'em, they gotta be good. For more information contact Earl's Tech Service at (310) 609-1602 or visit them on the web at www.holley.com.

Nano Nano
The particles in traditional wax and polishing products are too large to effectively remove hairline scratches, and usually leave swirl marks on your paint's surface. To solve this problem, Eagle One engineers developed Eagle One's new High Gloss NanoWax, a new high-gloss wax formula that uses advanced "Nano" technology. These means the wax uses ultra-fine polishing agents that are engineered to effectively fill hairline scratches, while the micro-carnauba wax particles impart a smooth, consistent wax coating. And because the particles in NanoWax are so small, it's also easier to remove and eliminate the messy white residue that other waxes leave behind. For more information, contact Eagle One at (800) 432-4531 or visit www.eagleone.com.

Monster Garage
For those who live in their shop or garage, Gladiator GarageWorks has a bevy of useful modular components that can transform the utilitarian space into a room that anyone will envy. This heavy-duty stand-alone work surface can be equipped with modules, like a modular GearDrawer, a modular GearBox, and a modular Garage Refrigerator (aka beer box) that dock underneath. When undocked, these modules provide added work surfaces and are available with solid maple tops. The workbench itself is equipped with a durable solid maple top for years of performance. Like most Gladiator GarageWorks products, the bench carries a limited-lifetime warranty. EVO Evolution
Mitsubishi's EVO VIII gets a little bit meaner with new body treatments from Kaminari. The company's new full-fascia kit consists of a new front fascia, side skirts and rear fascia. While the front portion is made of high-pressure, injection-molded polyurethane that meets or exceeds OEM grade, the skirts and rear are formed from painstakingly hand-laid fiberglass. A full cabon-fiber hood and a low-profile rear wing are also available. All parts are manufactured in the United States, and guaranteed to fit the car with no necessary modifications. A limited-lifetime warranty is included. For more details, contact Kaminari at (800) 289-5488 or go to www.kaminari.com online.

The Tarminator
There's no two ways about it: Road tar stuck to your car's finish is a bitch to get off. According to its maker, Tarminator from Stoner Inc. is the fastest and easiest way to remove difficult road grime like tar and gum. Tarminator is specially formulated to clean without harming your paint or clearcoat by breaking down the complex molecules found in tar and other sticky materials. The product's unique MicroActive cleaning technology gives Tarminator an unequaled ability to remove even "baked-on" tar, grease, sap and asphalt. Spray it on and wipe it off. It's available at your local auto supply store or online. For details, contact Stoner at (800) 227-5538 or log on to www.tarminator.com.

Lancer Chiller
Mach V Motorsports now distributes a Buschur Racing intercooler upgrade for the Lancer EVO VIII. This upgrade boasts a grille-filling, 24x10.5x3.5-inch bar-and-plate core that's engineered for efficient operation, with a minimal pressure drop and a flow capacity of up to 1125 cfm. The Buschur Racing cooler also drops lower in the nose of the car compared to the stock unit, so it actually frees airflow to the radiator. When combined with the Buschur Racing intercooler pipe, it eliminates 36 inches of intercooler piping. The kit requires no cutting or welding of any kind for install and the stock fans are retained. For complete details, contact Mach V Motorsports at (703) 237-0900 or go online to www.machevo.com.

Everything Hinges On This
The folks at AutoLc have done it again. Every die-hard tuner knows that looks are important (and we're not just talking about girls). To that end, AutoLc made an adjustable suicide hidden hinge system. We know, it's a mouthful! While driving on the wrong side will never be cool-damn Brits-opening your doors on the wrong side is. The kit is made of heavy-duty steel with one-piece bushed swing arms and 3/8-inch hinge pin. The unique notch design and adjustable mounting holes align with any door. The kit includes enough parts to complete two doors (recessed door pockets, mounting hardware and extra bracing). If you go balls-to-the-wall and get the deluxe kit, you'll be able to fine-tune the alignment to ensure a high-quality fitting after mounting. And only weighing in at 15 lb, this feature won't cost you any time in the quarter mile. The kit is backed by a limited-lifetime warranty. To get yours go to www.autoloc.com

It's loaded with power; the front channels are rated at 12.5 volts and the sub channel has Class "D" circuitry rated at 1x400 watts. For you music junkies out there, the Platinum Series comes with: circuit protection, high efficiency mosfet X output, x-over slope 12dB, subsonic filters, double-sided PC boards, drivesink technology (to manage heat) and enhanced dynamic performance to give it the power to outperform the rest. That all equates to one kick-ass system. So if you've got five bills and some change to drop on a new system-maybe your mama can give you a loan-bump on over to www.dbdrive.net to get yours.

Wheel Evolution

Woof! Woof!
If you're like me, the one complaint you have about a compact car is that there's not enough room in the trunk for all the shoes your girl wants to bring on spring break. (I mean really, twelve pairs for three days?) Worse, she wants you to take out the beloved sub to make room. Stop! Morel is here to save the day. The company introduces its new Elate car audio line that features five-, six-, nine-, and 10-inch subwoofers accompanied by tweeters and midranges. These compact woofers carry a big punch with deep and accurate bass reproduction. Features include: an aluminum die-cast chassis with a shallow aerodynamic design to minimize sound reflection distortion, a large-diameter Hexatech voice coil and one-piece DPC shallow cone to prevent cone breakup distortion and high levels, and a hybrid rear vented magnet system. If you've got money to burn, opt for the Accuset MX-22E two-way system or the MX-33 three-way system. I don't know about you, but I'm elated! Head to www.morel.co.il to get yours!

Take A Seat!
Everyone knows that Italy is famous for pasta, the Renaissance and leather. What's the Renaissance you ask? It's just a type of pasta, I think. But did you know that they make some of the most stylish racing seats? Well, you don't have to fly the Atlantic to get yours because APC has incorporated these stylish features into their new racing-style seats. These guys created an ergonomic seat that molds to your body like butter. Don't ask me how I know the molding powers of butter. Okay I'll tell you anyway. There was this one chick I met at a party. Damn, she was a freak! Um, so anyway, the base features high bolsters in the hip, leg, back and shoulder area for lateral support. The lower back area has a built-in lumbar support-to ease that back pain while you're in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the 5 freeway-and side bolsters that fit snug on the shoulders. You're body will stay in place during those 1g drift turns with a 3-point seatbelt system. The seat is fully adjustable front to back. And if you're a brand-whore you'll enjoy the APC logo on the headrest. Pick out yours at www.americanproductscompany.com.

Smart Charger
Blue-Point Battery Tender charging systems from Snap-on Tools allow you to take advantage of one of the world's most technologically advanced battery-charging systems. Two models are available: the Blue-Point Battery Tender Plus (BCPLUS) and the value-priced Battery Tender Junior (BCJR). Both feature multi-step charging processes with a final "float" stage designed to keep the battery at a 100-percent state-of-charge level, ensuring a fully charged battery at all times. The controlled voltage during this stage won't damage the battery like lengthy trickle charges can and won't allow the battery to self-discharge. For further details, contact Snap-On Tool Company at (877) SNAPON-2 or go online to www.snapon.com.

Suspension Zeal
JIC Magic has introduced one of the first available coil-over suspension systems for the Mazda RX-8, the FLT-A2. The system features 15-way damping adjustability with an adjustable bottom bracket that enables you to adjust the corner height without sacrificing the suspension travel at any height setting. The system comes with a standard front pillow-ball upper mount for fast suspension response and the rigidity that you need when fine tuning your vehicle. Front and rear strut tower braces are also available, in aluminum or carbon fiber, to further tweak the car's precise handling characteristics. For more advanced applications, JIC also offers a four-point aluminum strut tower brace for maximum chassis rigidity. For information on any or all of these products, contact Ziel Motorsport/JIC at (562) 803-6122 or go to www.jic-magic.com.

Cool Panel
