SUCK ON THIS!

Advanced Flow Engineering pulls its weight in the Scion aftermarket with the release of its new Magnum Force Stage 2 cold air intake for the '05-'07 tC, which claims an increase in power of 5.5 hp and 7 lb-ft of torque. Available with either a Pro 5R or Pro Dry-S filter media, the mandrel bent, powdercoated unit is sold as a complete kit and is available now.

GET IT STRAIGHT

Attention Nissan Z tuners and racers, SPL Parts has released replacement suspension components for the 350Z and G35 platforms that allow for a wide range of alignment adjustability while shedding a few pounds in the process. Constructed from TIG-welded, tubular chromoly steel, the chrome-plated SPL Pro rear lower links and camber arms join previously released Pro front upper arms to enable easy adjustment of up to five degrees of front camber, 10 degrees of rear camber, one degree of caster (independent of camber) and up to three degrees of toe. Components are chrome plated to guard against corrosion and constructed with standard, off-the-shelf rod ends and bearings to allow for future serviceability. Front arms include a CNC-machined aluminum adjustment wrench.

REINVENTING THE COMPRESSOR WHEEL

Oscar Jackson and Skunk2 have announced the launch of Kraftwerks, a collaborative effort to begin production of Rotrex-based supercharger kits for popular import and SpoCom platforms. Based on a centrifugal supercharger design, the Rotrex charger uses patented Ramp Effect-regulated planetary rollers instead of gears to transmit energy from a belt-driven pulley to its compressor wheel. This allows it to spin much faster then the rate of a conventional centrifugal charger and achieve higher maximum speeds. This design translates to better efficiency, turbo-rivaling max power capability and a more linear powerband without the fall off typical of other supercharger systems. Honda Fit applications will be available first with other platforms to follow.

SMOKING BARRELS

5Zigen throws another log on the fire of import aftermarket involvement with the release of the Proracer ZZ exhaust system. Constructed in Japan of 409 and 304 stainless steel, the ZZ is available with either a classic- or bullet-type muffler and is tailor made to each platform. Both options conform to Japanese JASMA standards, limiting audible emission to 93decibals.

HONDA LOVE

JDM-obsessed Honda owners rejoice-your selection of Honda-exclusive aftermarket wheels just grew by one. Mackin Industries recently announced the release of the Volk Racing CE28N Honda Time Attack Edition wheel, produced exclusively for Honda and Acura platforms. Finished in championship white with a red accented outer edge, the limited edition wheel is available in sizes 15x5.5 to 18x9.5 in 4x100 and 5x114.3 bolt patterns and features an anodized red valve stem, which would match similarly anodized Volk lug nuts. Our recommendation: Buy a set to flaunt immediately and one more to flaunt in 15 years when they really become cool.

ALTIMATE POWER

The '08 Nissan Altima has barely begun to roll into showrooms, yet amidst the myriad of universal and cosmetic parts we've actually found a genuine power adder! Artisan Performance announced an all-inclusive '08 Altima turbo kit that was rumored to hit shelves Dec. 1. Prototype kits boasting tubular stainless manifold and Turbonetics GT-K 650 turbochargers have already produced upwards of 450 whp at 14 psi on pump gas from the VQ mill with plenty of room to grow.
