1997 Honda Accord Clutch Replacement - Clutch Hitter

Honda Accord Clutch Masters Clutch Install

Carter Jung
Nov 17, 2006

Of all the pros of having a manual transmission-launch at any RPM, heel-toeing, gear selection, not having to reek of estrogen-one definite con is changing your clutch. FR's aren't bad but we're not going to lie, a clutch job in a FF is a bitch, and then some. While we were going to cop out and show you a 240SX clutch install, the masters of all things clutch, Clutch Masters, suggested doing a Honda instead. Follow along as we trick Stephen from Nissan tuning masters, G-Dimension, into performing a clutch swap in a '97 Honda Accord.

MSRP: Clutch Masters FX100 kit $383

PROS: comes with a new throw-out bearing and alignment tool

CONS: besides the install itself, not much

INSTALL DIFFICULTY: very difficult

VERDICT: If you need to replace the stock clutch, a Clutch Masters clutch kit is a good option, especially if you don't want to deal with core swaps.
