Continental Tires Has Your Rubbers Covered
Last month we gave you a sneak peak of Continental Tires' newest tire for the sport compact segment, the DW - well, this past spring, we got the chance to test them out, along with the new DWS all-season tire, at the California Speedway where we, along with many of our sister publications were put through a series of tire testing courses, including dry/wet handling surfaces, braking, oval racing, regular street driving and even a time attack style race to see who can hang on a road course. And guess who came in first out of all the tuner titles on the market? Yours truly and surprisingly to all, Sean Klingelhoefer, in only his second appearance on a track! Call it dumb luck or natural ability, but one thing's certain: THE REST OF YOU LOST! But the real story here are the DW and DWS tires, both superb handling pieces of rubber that not only grip extremely well in dry or wet conditions, but are also extremely quiet during standard driving. Fast & Furious Movie Premiere
The movie will have long debuted and probably made a ton of cashish at the box office by the time you read this but we'd like to thank Jessica Tullman at Subaru of America, Inc. for taking us along for a real Hollywood date to see the red carpet premiere of Fast and Furious at Universal Citywalk. We were able to do stalker-like maneuvers to spot stars from the film at the afterparty and managed to harass in a variety of ways, Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, the spicy Latin girl (you'll know who we're talking about if you've seen the movie and she's actually Israeli) and the various extras we still don't know the names of. Each car from the film was placed on display for party goers to pose with and of course you know the one we picked (see "Hole Shot"): the Sube STI, duh!

Falken Eurowinter HS439 Debut
What better way to test the winter driving skills of a Southern California driver than by placing one straight into the line of fire, or in this case, an entire series of snow handling exercises at one of the world's finest road racing institutions, ICAR (International Club Academy Racing) Complex in frigid Montreal, Canada. Of course, this was to coincide with the Eurowinter HS439 from Falken Tire, which is perfect for such snowy conditions because of a new silica compound that's designed to provide consistent traction and maximize tread life in all temperature ranges. So for a Cali boy like me, driving felt great although I pushed myself over the limit more times than I could count. Corolla is back to Japanese motor sport scene. Toyota and apr racing will take part in Super GT, GT300 with two Corolla Axio sedan which have V6 motor instead of MR-S (MR-2 spider). From `70s to `90s, Corolla was always in Japanese racing scene but after 1998, it was hard to find Corolla in Japanese racing scene.
