Nathalie Castillo isn’t your average model chick that poses in front of a camera everyday. She’s a professional woman—a financial analyst to be exact (aka math nerd). She also bartends and models on the side. We caught up with the half Filipina, half Irish girl last April in Vegas as one of the finalists for Miss MFest. It was also her first time in Vegas so we did our best to photograph and interview her while she was half-sober. 1. Where are you from?
Born in the Philippines, raised in DC/Virginia area, currently residing in Chicago.
2. Do you have any specials skills?
I have intense organization skills. Sometimes I think I have OCD. I’m also a pretty good cook and can also eat a lot. Find me a buffet and it’s over!
3. Any interesting hobbies?
Collect t-shirts from every place I’ve visited. I enjoy gambling also, but don’t worry; I don’t have a problem.
4. Any guilty pleasures to disclose?
I’m currently into trashy novels. I can’t get enough of them! Maybe because I have no love life but I don’t know and don’t care. They are great!
5. What’s your most embarrassing moment?
If I had to mention one, it’d be when I fell down the stairs in front of a college class of 250 people. I laughed it off, but wanted to cry inside.
6. What’s something interesting about you that not many people would know?
My mom already had three girls and the doctors told her she was having a boy finally, but out popped me! It broke my dad’s heart so bad that I went from Nathaniel to Nathalie and have been called Nate my whole life.
7. Go-to drink at the bar?
Shot of Jameson please! Or a beer…
8. What’s your current and dream car?
I’ve had a Jeep Cherokee Sport for six years now and it’s still goin’ strong! My dream car would be a GT-R—an R34 more than the R35. It’s just so sexy!
9. Favorite body parts on your men and yourself?
I like nice arms and stomach on men. I like my eyes but for some reason I get a lot of compliments on my feet. Creepy maybe? Haha.
10. What do you want to accomplish this year?
Visit California! Yes, I know I can’t believe I haven’t been here either. I secretly think when I go I won’t come home. (We know…it’s because Super Street is here! –Ed).
