Are you ready for a new way to race? In the case of Smash Cars, the answer should be "Yes!" Game developers, Creat Studio, created an zany world of racing radio-controlled cars (r/c cars) with suped-up little engines and attitudes to match. Grab the controller, rev your engine, and fight for dominance in the wacky racing world of Smash Cars.

This game is rated "E" for Everyone, but don't let that fool you. It offers a racing environment that is not only fun, but challenging as well. Choose from radio-controlled model cars with names like, "Warhammer" and "Road Rage," to tackle the tough terrains of locations all over the world. It's crazy, hyped-up racing that will have you laughing as your r/c's fat, little tires bounce down the landscape. But, be warned, you need to keep control of your vehicle or risk going out of control and trashing your chances for the top racing spot. Like we said earlier, it's not your typical racing environment, but that doesn't mean you have to put your racing skills aside.

Smash Cars offers gamers single and multiplayer options, and several different gameplay modes. We loved Stunt Race. In this mode, players get points for pulling off cool jump and flip combinations. We're telling you hauling ass down a park bench before launching into the air has never been this fun--or funny. The physics of these little vehicles is true-to life, but enhanced for boosts, tricks, and extreme driving moves like wheelies, fishtails and burn-outs to name just a few.

Since you're driving an r/c car your view of the world is from that perspective, and it's a trip. It doesn't take long to realize what a tiny object you are whizzing around in a big, big world. Everyday items that are usually trivial are now super-sized and definitely hazardous to your health.

The mini games are fun and worth checking out, especially if you need a little Smash Car fix, but don't have time to full on race. Another nice feature of the game is the ability to choose your skill level before playing. Taylor your game to your gaming experience (newbie to expert), choose your track, and even your weather condition. Game developers have done a lot to make sure that this game appeals to as many different people as possible.

Serious players looking for a more in-depth game can find it here in Championship mode. You have to win money, ranks and cars to unlock new tracks and progress through all 16 stages--how fast you progress depends upon your skills as a driver and your ability to upgrade your r/c racer.
