Outbreaks are occurring all over and it's a race against time to try and stop it before it's too late. Gamers play as a member of the newly established International Presidential Consulting Agency (I.P.C.A.) to track the terrorists worldwide and to hunt for the makers of the "Omega Strain."

Gamers can anticipate tons of action awaiting them on the 17 huge game levels featured in Syphon Filter. As an agent, players travel the globe to exotic and far-flung places like Yemen and Belarus to chase down leads to ultimately lead to who engineered the virus and why. It's not going to be easy, as the opposing team is amped-up with some new high-level AI which will have enemies reacting correctly and planning future moves based on how a gamer is playing. Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain comes equipped to take gamers online, with a full assortment of features and games for both single and multi-players. If players already own a USB headset for SOCOM Navy Seals, it will work for Syphon Filter: TOS too, if not, a regular PlayStation USB headset will work, and gamers should get one if planning to go online and challenge other players either singly or with a team.
Of course, Syphon Filter: TOS comes with a nice arsenal of weapons and gadgets, and players can engage in gunplay or hand-to-hand combat with a knife. The controls for the game are smooth and easy to learn, and players will be shooting and throwing grenades like a pro almost immediately. Gamers have the ability to target one or more than one opponent at a time, and it can make a world of difference and take a player through the meatiest of battles. Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain is a must for any Syphon Filter fan or any shooter-action fan. This game has a deep storyline, tons of action, and strong online game modes which should keep players chasing the virus for many months.
