Eidos brings hip hop and rap to the PS2 with Get on Da Mic, a cool, interactive karaoke game that challenges gamers to battle their way to the top by winning competitions and cash to live the life of a rap super star. The game comes loaded with over 40 tracks by top-selling artists like Missy Elliot, Sean Paul, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Kim, Dr. Dre and throws in some old school songs like "Push It" from Salt-n-Pepa and "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang. Just to keep things running smooth and to make sure gamers get their props, MTV co-host Sway acts as the game's host, while the in-game DJ, Green Lantern, spins the disks and keeps the beats thumping throughout the game.

There are multiple ways to play Get on Da Mic, and all gamers can choose to battle it out to go for super star status, perform together with a friend, try it freestyle, or hook up the Eye Toy camera and watch their "live performance" while working the crowd with some slick lyrical skills. Another cool option for gamers is the ability to customize their character from over 15,000 options--everything from face shape, eye color, skin color, and hair styles is left open for games to choose their MCs look. Once gamers start winning some major cash it's time to start throwing it down to pick up some designer clothes, cars, yachts, cribs and jewelry and living the life of a mega star.
