Another year-end present for gamers is the release of Jak 3, the hotly anticipated final chapter of the Jak and Daxter trilogy. Naughty Dog pulled out all the stops for Jak 3, and gamers can expect a gorgeous, deep game filled with adventure, danger, cool new vehicles and weapons, and legions of bad guys all itching to get a hold of Jak and Daxter to take them out once and for all.

Jak 3 is addicting from the moment the opening movie starts. Tossed out of Haven City and forced to live in the Wasteland, Jak and Daxter now have a vast new terrain to discover. Luckily, there's plenty of transportation around if players know where to get it. Unexpected transportation like Leaping Lizards, sweet desert vehicles, and a Jetboard will take Jak and Dax over the longer distances of the expansive Wasteland much more quickly. Daxter gets a promotion this time around and is more than just a sidekick, and it's his small size and agility that is needed for some critical jobs that Jak can't do.

A nicely balanced AI keeps the gameplay moving and there are no sudden spikes in AI to slam players so hard that it could keep them from finishing the game. Jak's character continues to expand, and this time he's got some awesome upgradeable weapons and armor that really come in handy during the intense battles. Plus, dark Jak makes a return, but new to Jak 3 is Light Jak, a whole new set of powers that gamers will discover and must use in order to complete the game. Jak 3's graphics include true to life physics for both vehicles and characters, so gamers can look forward to an unprecedented realism in the way everything move. Fans of the series, this is a must, and if new, definitely pick this one up and give it a try.
