Games based on movies or movie characters can be an iffy thing--many times they fall short of the cinematic experience gamers are always looking to tap into. But, for Buena Vista Games and the release of The Nightmare Before Christmas Oogie's Revenge, gamers get not only a great game, but a truly cinematic adventure.
As the game begins, Jack Skellington has come back to Halloween Town to find that Ooogie Boogie has taken over and once again Halloween town is in turmoil. Jack leaps into action and takes gamers with him on a wild ride to save his friends and to banish Oogie out of Halloween Town once more. Armed with the cool "Soul Robber", a green plasma-like whip, that can grab enemies and hurl them into other ghoulies or even pound them into the ground for extra good times.
Jack can even change his costumes for some extra deadly fun as either the fireball throwing Pumpkin King or deliver especially deadly packages as Santa Jack. The original cast of characters returns complete with the voice actors and music from the movie, plus the storyline is tight and neatly ties together in each of the game's chapters. Action gaming fans, this one should go to the top of the list to check out--you won't be disappointed.
