Halo 3: ODST
For: Xbox 360
From: Microsoft, www.xbox.com
More polished expansion than grandiose sequel, we're still thrilled to see the
Billion-dollar sci-fi franchise drop its real-time strategic pretensions and get back to basics (i.e. Letting players turn shrieking aliens into Swiss cheese). Controlling a rookie Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, clear New Mombasa's high-res streets using ass-whuppin' futuristic guns. Genius. - Scott Steinberg
Fast & Furious
From: Universal Pictures
Formatos: 2-disc Blu-ray(tm) and 2-disc special edition DVD $34.98 /$29.98
The surprise hit of the year, 'Fast & Furious' brings the original cast back together for the best movie of the four-part series. There's enough import versus domestic action in this to keep you on the edge of your seat, in addition to a halfway decent story line. We still cringe at the thought of how many poor GT-Rs and STIs that had to die in order to make F&F but it's Hollywood's game at that point. We're ready for number five anytime. - Jonathan Wong
PS3 SLIM
From: Sony, www.playstation.com, $299
The original PlayStation 3 was a monster gaming rig, but took serious knocks for its insanely-high price. Here, the system shaves off weight and girth; trims power consumption; and boosts hard drive size to 120GB. Between a built-in Blu-ray drive, wireless networking and multimedia streaming capabilities, suddenly it's a sobering value. - SS
Rogue 1 Dual-Output
Led Flashlight
From: ICON, www.myiconlight.com, $37.99
Whether you think you need one or not, a flashlight always comes in handy. But sometimes, it's not the most affordable tool to have, especially if it comes equipped with LED technology - that is, until now. ICON releases the Rogue 1, a 4.5-inch, 4oz aluminum body LED light that can brighten any occasion with just a single AA battery, good for operation of up to three hours (on high setting) or 70-plus hours (low setting) on one battery. Pick up one for the car, one for the house - you need them. - JW

Rival A455
From: motorola, www.motorola.com, $99.99 with two-year contract
Love to text message? Dropping LOLs and ROFLcopters has never been simpler than with this IM- and emoticon-friendly cellie, whose slide-out QWERTY keyboard and one-touch interface are well-suited for going thumbs on. Though we're less impressed with the handset's display and dialing controls, hey - STFU and check it out anyway. - SS
Saw
For: playstation 2, xbox 360
From: konami, www.myiconlight.com
Life's a bitch, then you die ad nauseum, as serial killer Jigsaw's lethal puzzles (reverse bear traps FTW!) and desperate, bloodthirsty victims prompt countless cheap restarts. Clunky controls and aging visuals aside though, the tale - set between the first two films - wows with its haunting atmosphere and cringe-inducing shocks nonetheless. - SS
Kingdom hearts: 358/2 days
For: nintendo DS
From: square-enix, www.square-enix.com
An atypical odyssey, said fantasy role-playing epic - marrying Disney's whimsical worlds/characters with anime-influenced storytelling and scenarios - can't help but charm even grumpy old farts. While toting around massive "keyblades" and traversing Peter Pan and Aladdin's storybook realms may seem like kid stuff, the sprawling action's deep enough to engage any adult. - SS
