Full-Race Motorsports Turbo Manifolds and Downpipes for Honda B-Series engines

Equal Length ProStreet turbo manifold and ProStreet 3-inch downpipe form the foundation for our four-cylinder flame thrower.

By Armaan D. Almeida

Ok, so you, the SuperStreetOnline reader now know what turbo we will be using for our project (whose chassis remains to be kept under wraps). What about the manifold? Cast or tubular? Easier than laughing during Family Guy (but harder than laughing at that metaphor -Rikdaddy). Tubular. Equal-length tubular. Since our goal has been set for 500 WHP (straight LS!), a cast manifold might not be our best option. Don't get us wrong, it's been done before. Way back when, the Jotech EG of Kenny Tran sportin' that badass mini-truck paintjob (that Oveis so desperately yearned for -Chimpy) used an off-the-shelf cast manifold to dig deep into the 10's. But times have changed , and technology has come along for the e-ticket ride.

Enter Full-Race Motorsports. When it came down to researching a manifold for our car, the name Full-Race kept popping up. Not ones to ignore the obvious (Who does? -Nads), we gave them a call. Not only did Geoff Racier (yes, that's his real last name) answer every single question completely, he shipped us a manifold-downpipe combo that would make even Magneto proud. Looks aren't everything, and there is REAL engineering behind the design.

Full-Race ProStreet Manifold Specs:
• Thickest and strongest materials used by any turbo manifold manufacturer: 8 gauge forged stainless steel.• Equal length design which decreases spool time by @800 RPM while offering huge midrange and peak power gains.
• Equally long radius bends result in equal frictional flow coefficients thereby balancing flows from runner to runner.
• Low angle merge collector design minimizes collector fluid friction.
• Flanged for either T3 or T4 turbos, and any wastegate you choose.
• Runners flow ~245 CFM individually.

To help expel the exhaust gases, they also sent us one of their bazooka-sized 3-inch downpipes. Just look at those welds! We had them fit it with a 5-bolt flange since we will be using the Precision SC61 spec'd by Art Ortiz of Laskey Racing. They can also be had with the more common 4-bolt flanges, as well as a V-band option.

Full-Race ProStreet Downpipe Specs:
• Full 3-inch downpipe from the downpipe flange back to the exhaust
• Full stainless steel TIG welded construction
• 3-inch flexpipe
• As many O2 bungs as specified (for widebands, etc)

*It should also be noted that the Full-Race ProStreet downpipes only work in conjunction with Full-Race manifolds. The two were designed in tandem to give you the best performing system available for your street-driven Honda. They even offer an SR20 manifold for the Nissan people out there. All the horsepower-hungry Supra guys can also look for a manifold (worthy of all the Rolls-Royce turbine-type turbos) soon.
