The wait is over! While previous versions of Gran Turismo took Sony years to develop and release to the public, we've been lucky enough to get the inside scoop that GT6 will be on sale this holiday season!

In the 1950s, in America, cars were all about jet-age this and rocket-power that. In the '60s, in Japan, Nissan borrowed that motif and adapted it for the times, calling its new Bluebird model "Supersonic"; the 510 Bluebird launched across Japan, in magazines and on TV alike, in the fall of '67 with images of Concorde (and only images, as the actual Concorde didn't fly till the spring of '69) and ideas about swift comfort put firmly in the Japanese car buyer's head. Faster-than-sound capabilities strained credulity —the hottest version, the triple-carb 1800SSS, was good for 115 horsepower; not even its designer (see sidebar) considered believing it. But then, no one really believed that those two-and-a-half-ton American tanks of the '50s were actually jet-powered, either; it was all about image. And the Bluebird had image in spades. Supersonic!

There's something about old school Nissan body styles that really tickles the fancy of almost every person who sees one. That might sound like a strange blanket statement, but it's true. Every single time I go out to shoot a Z car or a 510, people will stop and ask what kind of car it is, or other times they will say "I used to have one of those", "my aunt had one of those cars when I was a kid", or something along those lines. These random conversations happen literally every time I shoot a car of this vintage, but with this particular Nissan, they went a little differently.

I admit the closest I've been to Tennessee is a '90s Arrested Development song and a bad pickup line. The Volunteer State isn't exactly a quick drive or flight from California, plus I haven't had many reasons to make the journey. But look what we have here… Feast your eyes on this breathtaking V8-powered 240SX from none other than…Yup, you guessed it, Tennessee!

Kyoto is Japan's culture capital. Spared from damage during the second World War, it's home to many ancient shrines and temples, from the main ones located in the city's center, all the way to the smaller buildings nestled up in the surrounding green hills. As fascinating as this may sound, the reason I found myself standing in front of Ikkyu-ji has absolutely nothing to do with Zen Buddhism, and in fact, couldn't be any less related to Japanese culture, history and religion. In this case, I'm about to see Satomi Nakawatase's S14, one of the most unique Silvias in all of Japan.

If we could travel back in time to about 2006, the automotive world would be a very different place. Although many great cars existed, there was a gap that needed to be filled. A gap in the North American market, that is. There is a car that today is a staple of performance, a car that all sports cars and many super cars are compared against, and this car wasn't even available to US customers for over 40 years. In case you haven't picked up on it, I'm talking about the Nissan Skyline GT-R, known now in the latest generation as simply the GT-R.

When it comes to BMWs, one car we can all agree on is the E30 M3. It may not be the fastest or newest Bimmer, but the original M3 is a timeless classic that's rooted deep in racing and designed to perform around a track. While there are plenty of feature-worthy E30 M3 examples around the world from full racecars to show-queens, we found we could relate most to Greg Strube's project.

Let's face it: the Subaru BRZ (and its Scion FR-S sibling) is somewhat underpowered, but pure speed is not what this car is all about. The BRZ is a rear-drive coupe designed more for sublime drifting, or charging hard around an autocross track. Its mission is as an affordable, fun-to-drive sports car, and wasn't designed with straight line, drag-race times in mind.

Hyundai proves that SEMA Show cars are not strictly posers as it has approved the RE:MIX Veloster for full production. The special edition production Veloster features an aggressive exterior appearance with a unique body kit and gunmetal-finish alloy wheels, while the interior is enhanced with a premium audio system. This Veloster is a turn-key production vehicle with a lifestyle-focused look and feel. In addition to the exclusive "Sprint Gray," a simplified color palate of five additional Veloster colors will be available: Century White, 26.2 Yellow, Marathon Blue, Ultra Black and Boston Red. The RE:MIX Lab is a national tour celebrating creativity in music, art, fashion, technology, gaming, culture and design. Central to the message of innovation are customized one-off Hyundai vehicles representing the ultimate in style, design and performance. With custom audio, distinctive materials and custom-made components throughout, each RE:MIX vehicle speaks to individual creativity, passion and connectivity. Building on the popularity of these vehicles on tour, Hyundai is offering a new production model, the Veloster RE:MIX, to Hyundai dealerships before the winter holidays. The Veloster RE:MIX will be priced at $19,900 for manual transmission and $21,150 for dual clutch transmission versions.

Talk about a name to live up to. Not even really a name-just two numbers, eight and six. It's as if Toyota's legendary AE86, both the short-hand code name for the old-school's beloved rear-drive mid-'80s Toyota Corolla GT-S, and the resulting car's capabilities and ultimate popularity, was developed to live up to the potential of its name.

Let's get the obvious out of the way. Under the hood of this '70s classic is a boosted inline-six we know as the 2JZ-GTE. Sick? Yes, but now take a closer look at the car. The hood ornament should give it away but you're lookin' at the one and only 2J-powered Mercedes 280c! Crazy ain't it? That's exactly what we thought when we strolled into the SEMA Show finding it showcased at the Nitto Tire booth. It's not your typical show car, or Super Street feature for that matter, but it deserved props for its creativity and balls it took to even take on a project like this.

About four years ago when I first moved away from my hometown of Portland, Oregon to pursue my photography career in sunny Southern California, I knew I was in for a big culture shock. By now, I've adjusted pretty well and I love it here. However, there are still a few things about Los Angeles that I really don't like. One of my biggest gripes about this city is the way that some people around here rely so heavily on status symbols to inflate their sense of self-worth. When I look around the streets of Venice and Santa Monica where I live, I see a lot of very nice and very expensive cars. Most of these cars are dirty, neglected, scratched up, and driven by people who don't really even appreciate what they have and what it's capable of doing when driven properly, which is incredibly ironic.

You're either saying to yourself, "what the f@#k?" or "f@#k yeah!" This Murcielago isn't your typical Super Street feature car but we hope you feel the same way about it as we do. This Lambo is the shit!

To be completely honest with you, there isn't very much we know about the owner of this Championship White 1993 Civic CX. We know that his name is Joshua Antolin and he hails from the great state of Hawaii-and that's about it. Instead of going the traditional route of telling you a story behind an enthusiast's build, we're going to try something a little different. Let's break the "fourth wall", so to speak, for a different twist on what you're used to reading. If you don't know what the hell the "fourth wall" is, try to remember an episode of Saved by the Bell when Zach Morris freezes time, turns to the audience and speaks directly to them-that's what's considered "breaking the fourth wall". (Still clueless? Clearly you're too young to know what SBTB or who Kelly Kapowski is.) What I'm trying to do today is something similar-sort of. Breaking the fourth wall usually means that you're being pulled out of an imaginary scenario but in the world of automotive publication, what you're seeing and reading is very real.

By now, there are scores of modified Scion FR-S project cars all over the Internet and probably in your own neighborhood. Every other shop has one, plus we all know someone who's picked up this affordable sporty rear-wheel drive coupe within the last year, us included. But before the scene was bit with the FR-S bug, DC Sports snatched up the first one and started developing bolt-on goodies before the rest.

Everybody wants to be different. As human beings, we make a consistent effort in our lives to do things to set us apart from the rest of the crowd. Being an individual is what makes us relevant to our peers and to the opposite sex. Whether people like to admit it or not, nobody wants to just fade into the monotonous blur of conventionality. That's why you do your hair a certain way or buy a specific style of clothing. The struggle to +be relevant to the rest of the world is something we all deal with on a daily basis.

The most famous Internet driver is jumping into a few new cars this year. Ken Block along with the help of California-based tuner, fifteen52 will be building three Ford Focus STs. The first car will be built with an OEM-style approach intended for Ken's daily driver. The other two will be something wilder-maybe the next Gymkhana car? Could be, but we know one will be built for racing while the other's designed for stance.- SD

The Super25 is a follow-up or evolution of the Super20 Miata Mazda displayed at the 2011 SEMA Show. The Super25 is conceptualized as an endurance racer, it's #55 call sign a direct reference to the number the 24 Hours Of Le Mans winning Mazda wore in 1991. The car can light up the night thanks to its four-lamp auxiliary lighting fixture that features a pair of PIAA 40-Series halogens and a pair of PIAA Super White Driving lamps. A set of 17-inch Volk Racing TE37s wrapped with 225/45ZR-17 tires provide the contact patch. Inside it's all business with a lone Sparco Evo seat, Sparco R323 tiller and Sparco harness system dominating the landscape.

The Dodge Dart's design hits on all cylinders and the Carbon Fire SEMA car shows the sedan's sinister side. This is a fashion statement car as all mechanicals are more or less stock which is fine, the tuning industry will gladly take the baton and up the ante on the Dart's 1.4-liter Multi-Air four. The Carbon Fire features a prototype spoiler and hood forged in carbon-fiber, a tricked out front fascia and 19-inch rollers. Drssed up brake calipers, tinted lighting and a Katzkin-enhanced interior round out the package. We don't mind the look and are interested in see the tuning potential of the sleek Dart.

We love it when an automaker responds to the media and customers. In this case it's Honda refreshing the Civic a scant 18 months after a full redesign because of comments on styling and interior shortcomings. The strange thing is the Civic is killing it in the sales department so kudos to Honda for doing the right thing. The braver more angular styling of the 2013 Civic sedan's front end includes a new open-mouth lower bumper with a horizontal chrome accent and a sportier, black honeycomb mesh grille, anchored by new integrated foglights on upper trims. The grille is flanked by new clear-lens corner lights to provide a more premium look. The 2013 Civic's more sculpted front-end flows into a new, more deeply faceted hood, complemented by a collection of sharp new wheel designs. Now if we can only get Honda to bring over those 'forbidden fruit' JDM whips...all with Mugen editions.

We have been on top of 'The Supra Resurrection' like a lion on the back of a wounded gazelle. Our teeth are getting closer to the jugular as we are hearing 'more official' comments about the when and how the Supra will return to the tuning scene. When we last left off the Supra was a 400-horse hybrid with a CVT and a $60,000 price tag. Recent reports by Asia One indicate Toyota has a three-headed sports car attack in the works with the FR-S/GT86 sandwiched between the Supra and a more entry-level, MR2 revival type of vehicle. Asia One quoted chief engineer Tetsuya Tada saying, "The president (Akio Toyoda) has asked me to make a successor to the Supra as soon as possible." That's pretty concrete in our eyes. A five-year timeline is being kicked around.
