At the end of the day, motorsport is a dangerous activity. If you haven’t already done so, the factory igniter on your B-Series probably needs some lovin’. With age, the igniter is prone to failure, plus the timing signal quality can deteriorate leading to poor performance. AEM has a must-have solution with its coil-on-plug conversion kit. It’s a better way to go by updating your B-Series with an individual coil for each cylinder. While fixing the common issues with a factory distributor, it’ll also kill the losses associated with crappy distributor caps, rotors and wire assemblies. It’s a good upgrade whether you are naturally-aspirated, boosted (under 15psi), a daily driver or weekend racer.

While you can throw more dough into carbon-fiber intakes and titanium exhausts, the most important thing that’ll make you faster and keep you safer are high-quality tires. Toyo is back with its new T1 Sport. Available in 42 sizes from 17-20", the T1 Sport gives you everything you want out of a tire. We’re talking about high speed stability and cornering, quick steering response and braking performance. This is thanks to a stiffer compound, asymmetric tread and wider outer tread blocks.

Dropping a big dyno number is good for the ego but on the street you need to get all that power to the ground to confirm your cred. Suspension mods address the angle and firmness of the contact patch where the driveline is responsible for putting the torque to the contact patch. Your driveline may need a tune before you hoon. The limited-slip differential (LSD) is a prime-time player in the distribution of power and picking the right diff for your hooning tendencies on and off the track is the key to dynamic car control. Further, aftermarket LSDs cost a pretty penny to acquire and install so choosing wisely also softens the blow to the wallet.

While slamming your ride can lower the center of gravity, many people don’t realize that it messes with your suspension geometry. Your camber, caster or steering response could be out of whack. BLOX has these neat roll center adjusters to correct your suspension. The longer adjusters replace your factory ball joints and reposition suspension components to a more acceptable angle. It’s worth the $200 if you’re looking for better handling and increased steering feel.

JDM—yes, it’s one of the most overused and abused acronyms today but the coolio factor behind it still holds true to many of us. Japanese Domestic Market parts, whether engine or cosmetic, are on an upper echelon in the parts hierarchy. Still trying to squeeze more power out of your B-Series? Maybe it’s time to upgrade to a larger throttle body. After all, isn’t bigger better? Whether you’re naturally-aspirated or boosted, a larger TB will increase airflow thus giving you a little extra push across the powerband. Skunk2’s Pro Series TB is one of the newest and largest on the market. It features a 74mm bore, CNC aluminum construction, hard-anodized finish and sealed bearings. It also relocates the MAP sensor and eliminates OE water passages, resulting in a cleaner look. Since Leroy is being built with the intention of running in Super Lap Battle, it only makes sense to use the same course that hosts the Finals for testing. It’s no secret that the K-series engine is about the hottest thing in the Honda community since sliced bread. What was once a very complicated, expensive and time-consuming engine conversion is now a fairly painless bolt-in affair. Thanks largely to the massive aftermarket support for the conversion, just about anyone can throw a K motor into their older Honda. To illustrate just how easy it is, we’ve assembled this guide on how to swap in an Integra DC chassis (so some of these steps will differ depending on which car you own) to help you on your path to K power.
