Carbing Chassis Braces Install - Car Bing!

1. For the Rear Tower Bar you'll need to carefully remove the plastic interior trunk panel by pulling up gently. Then remove the left and right carpet panels (don't lose the factory plastic plugs).

2. To take out the factory braces you must remove the four 14mm strut nuts (already done in this picture) as well as the two 12mm bolts. Because of the precise fitment of the Carbing bar you may need to raise the car slightly to allow the strut studs to drop a little.

3. Once you've checked that the bar fits, lower the car and reinstall the 14mm strut nuts and 12mm bolts.

4. It seems a shame to cover it all up, but that subwoofer-in-the-spare should never see daylight.

5. We trimmed the carpet around the mounting points with a utility knife in order to retain the stock appearance.

6. Wake up, Philippe, you're not done yet. Are you a Mexi-can or a Mexi-can't? What's that, you're not Mexican? Whatever.

7. Once the rear hatch carpet is in place the bar is completely hidden.

8. With all of the bars installed there was a noticeable handling improvement and the ride quality was not unbearable in the least. The ride height now stands at a gaping three inches from the lowest point. Check the manhole-sized divot on the driver side of the Lower Arm Bar.
