A common upgrade for the S13 and Zenki S14 (non-SE) 240SX is the five-lug conversion. Besides offering improved torque transfer to the wheels, it opens up your wheel selection like YouPorn does, well, porn. Instead of being limited to 4x114 rims and offsets, you can go as wide as your wallet or wheel well's content. So when it came time to get serious with our budget track S13, we contacted Ichiba for its five-lug kit that comes with the bearings already pressed, an advantageous time-saving factor to consider.

While we were at it, we decided to upgrade the brakes and wheels. The wheels, because the ones on it now are four-lug and won't fit (duh), and it was more than time for a rimover. And no, that has nothing to do with your chocolate starfish; rather, a new set or GN+ wheels from 5Zigen wrapped in Continental rubbers.

As for the brakes, the feeble 240SX were sketchy stock and with the new bronze 5Zigen 18-inchers, it was time for an upgrade. Stressing budget, we went to Mikey Jurado over at Superior Nissan for a set of rebuilt Nissan Z32 300ZX four-piston calipers and rotors up front, S14 rotors in the rear, OE pads and Z32 master cylinder. For brake lines, Phase2 happened to have several Circuit Sports stainless kits in stock, including ones that factor for a S13 going with Z32 brakes.

With the 240SX hatchback packed to the pop-up sunroof with parts, we were off to the Nissan authorities over at G-Dimension were we had Stephen Rhim bust ass for us yet again.

The Techna Fit lines can be installed quite easily; again, grab a pan to collect any dripping brake fluid and disconnect the stock line from the brake system.

Pop the cap off. If it's stuck, take a flat-head and tap it with a mallet.
Using pliers, straighten the cotter pin and remove.
