Honda Civic B16A Motor Swap - Heart Surgery

B16 Honda Swap If Installing The Engine From The Bottom
If installing the engine from the bottom, the transmission mount should be loosely bolted in. If you are dropping the engine from the top, the transmission mount will go in afterwards.
B16 Honda Swap While The Hoist Is Moving
While the hoist is moving the engine into place, the rear engine bracket was slid in and bolted down.

After all three mounts are bolted in, the harness was plugged back into the chassis wiring.

To keep the AC system, a HASport AC bracket was used to mate the original D16A compressor to the B16A block.

Next, a universal hydraulic line was bent and cut to fit between the clutch master cylinder and slave.

Since we are installing a hydraulic transmission in the car, a bracket had to be fabricated to mount the master cylinder to the transmission.

Since this car is now using a hydraulic transmission, we had to mount a small reservoir and run the line down to the new master cylinder.
B16 Honda Swap With The Added Hydraulic Parts
With the added hydraulic parts, the factory fan would no longer clear, so we purchased a slimmer universal fan from the local auto store.
B16 Honda Swap For A Little More Added Reliability
For a little more added reliability, we replaced the old rusty radiator. This new unit from 1-800-Radiator was made for a '92-'93 Integra GSR (which came with a B17A). The radiator bolts in perfectly and the hose openings match the correct diameter for a B series. Make sure you use radiator hoses from a '90-'93 Integra. You may have to trim the top hose to fit.
