Tires are expensive, especially when it comes to the big 18-inchers. Generally, the bigger and wider the tire is, the better handling you can achieve from the car. Unfortunately, when people lower their cars, they dont think about alignment, which also plays a big role in handling. Even worse, when the alignment isnt set right, your tires will wear out very quickly. If you have deep pockets and want to shell out a few hundred bucks every couple of months for new tires, thats cool. But were poor and cant afford to do that.
